Life is short and we only have a number of breaths to leave our positive mark on the world. Use you breaths wisely." b
Darcy Lyle (Instructor)

Has been teaching yoga in the Pittsburgh area since 2003. She started teaching almost by accident. She had been practicing off and on since 2000, dabbling in whatever classes were available during college. After graduation she started working in aquatics at a health club. When the yoga teacher at that club took a sudden leave of absence, Darcy was called on to fill in "short term."

Despite her lack of actual training, her classes were successful. So, in the fall of 2004 she completed her first vinyasa yoga certification with Karen Conley. She has continued her education through workshops with Baron Baptiste, Gregor Singleton, Brian Kest, Sharon Gannon, and David Life. Darcy's teaching style is strongly rooted in the foundations of deep steady breathing, mental presence, and physiologically sound movement. She believes that a deep connection to these foundations opens the door to all of the physical and spiritual possibilities of yoga.

Julie
Hayley Norris (Instructor)

Hayley first discovered yoga a few years ago as something fun to do with friends. As time went on, the practice slowly progressed more and more into her life. She took the opportunity to become certified at Yoga Flow in March of 2010 and is truly grateful to have the opportunity to share her love for the practice with others.

Yoga found it's place in her life when she needed it most, and it is the main thing that keeps her grounded. Hayley considers herself very fortunate to have found such a passion at a young age.

Grace
Grace Kosko (Instructor)

Grace found her way to yoga about 6 years ago and practiced off and on until she discovered Yoga Flow 2 years ago. It was then that her healthy obsession began. Everything about this style of vinyasa yoga spoke to her. It was perfect timing that the Teacher Training was offered in the early part of 2010, she realized she was already teaching her friends one on one and promoting

the benefits of yoga wherever she went. She feels truly blessed that she has the knowledge as well as the passion to share her love of yoga with others.

Rachel
Rachel French (Instructor)

Rachel found yoga three years ago after much convincing from her friends. She quickly grew to love the physical practice as a method to tone and strengthen the body and to decompress from her stressful job. Finding a practice that provided an excellent workout was the initial draw, however as time passed, Rachel found that the spiritual practice is what kept her coming back for

more. In 2009, Rachel started down a new path in life and decided to deepen her practice and enroll in teacher training. As student and now a teacher, Rachel loves sharing the gift of yoga with everyone.

pam
Pam (Instructor)

Pam began her practice in 2006 as one more step on a lifelong journey of spiritual self discovery. It quickly became a way of life, as she totally immersed herself in practice, completing two teacher trainings in four years. Pam completed the 200 hour Certification in Vinyasa Yoga with Yoga Flow and a 200 hour Certification in Power Yoga with Amazing Yoga.

It is the healing and transformational potentials of the practice, on a spiritual and physical level, that inspire her to teach.

Prior to Yoga Flow, Pam taught outdoor yoga during the summers at Schenley Plaza for the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy and community based classes around the city. Her goal, as a teacher, is to "heal the world, creating peace on earth", through the transformational power of yoga... one class, one student, one breath… at a time.

Katie
Katie Lascola (Instructor)

Working as a social worker in Philadelphia, Katie was introduced to yoga in 2005. Initially she saw this as a means to strengthen her body- tone and strengthen muscles, increase flexibility, etc. Soon, it was apparent that yoga not only had physical benefits, but mental and emotional as well. After giving herself to others all day, she found a way to nourish herself, find calmness and breathe.

This in turn benefited those around her, including her family and clients. Through yoga, she has learned the importance of breath. Katie has completed Yoga Flow's teacher training in September 2010 and is very excited to start her new journey as a yoga instructor. She wants nothing more than to give to others what her instructors have given to her... strength, a sense of peace and breath.

b
Heather Cunningham (Instructor)

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Heather's yoga journey began in college in New Orleans, taking Hatha classes at the Loyola gym for exercise. After college, she found herself in Chicago where she began a work study at Bikram Chicago's Lincoln Park studio. As her practice deepened, she became more drawn to the duality between mind and body and the strength both can possess. While

studying in Chicago, she attended workshops by the late Jason Winn. When she moved back to Pittsburgh, in 2007, she found herself yoga-less in a city as of yet without a Bikram studio. In the midst of trying out new styles and studios, she found herself at Yoga Flow, and immediately felt at home! Since beginning her Vinyasa practice, she has attended arm balance and yin workshops led by Dominique and Michelle, a West Coast Flow workshop led by Tammi Tsai, and a Tantra workshop led by Psalm Isadore. Having finally found a style and studio that embraced and encouraged her practice fully, she realized her path would eventually lead to spreading her love of yoga through teaching. She received her Yoga Alliance certification through Yoga Flow in September of 2010, and is excited to share her love of and dedication to yoga with others. She believes in the healing and life-changing power of yoga, and approaches her practice as a way of life.

b
Gina Kallick (Instructor)

After practicing Bikram, and Hatha, Gina found the Vinyasa style of yoga the best expression for her background in dance and athletic pursuits.

She is a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, completing her 200 hour Vinyasa Yoga Certification with

Yoga Flow. She completed an additional 200 hour Certification in Power Yoga with Amazing Yoga, and continues to study and work towards her 500 hour RYT. Additionally, Gina continues her education with numerous workshops and teacher trainings, including Brian Kest’s Power Yoga Master Class, Rodney Yee, Colleen Saidman, Yin Yoga and Inversion Workshops.

Using her dance background, Gina creates flowing asana sequences that use both breath and music as a rhythm to inspire her students to move with grace, strength and fluidity through their asana practice, with detailed attention given to proper body alignment. She believes that every yoga practice offers the opportunity to reach new levels of awareness, both physically and spiritually, to enrich life on and off the mat.

Julie
Julie Straub (Guest Instructor)

Began practicing yoga in 1999 as an alternative form of exercise. Practicing yoga has not only improved her strength and flexibility, it has brought balance to many aspects of her life. For Julie, yoga is a great physical and mental practice which allows her to release the stresses of everyday life and to “just be”. Once Julie started to see the many positive changes yoga brought to

her own life, she was inspired to share this practice with others. She looks forward to sharing what she has learned through her studies in public health and yoga, and hopes to continue to grow on this journey with others. Julie draws from several different traditions of yoga including Ashtanga and Vinyasa Flow. She completed her teacher training in 2006 and has since completed her YogaFit Certification.

jack
Mara DelVecchio (Instructor)

Mara discovered her yoga pathway as a student and a competitive tennis player at Allegheny College. During her freshman year, she began to question the goals laid in front of her: Why must we play to win the match? Study to get the final 'A'? Perform music to finish the concert? And make art for the finished piece? Yoga provided a pathway for her to discover how to live in the present

moment, instead of living for the end product. It is through yoga that we can reveal to ourselves the truth and presence of our physical state of health, mental state of choice, and spiritual state of awareness. Mara has been practicing yoga since 2008 and deepens her journey by understanding stillness with others. She completed her 200 hour Vinyasa Yoga Certification with Yoga Flow in 2011 and practices meditation, reiki, E.F.T., and Thai Yoga, and she is also an expressive artist. Mara believes that healing the physical, mental, and spiritual self through yoga creates an opportunity to live a happy and balanced lifestyle.
