New Meditation Class added to the Aspinwall schedule:
David Guthrie, Spiritual Director of Unity Center of Pittsburgh (www.unitycenter.com), has been leading and teaching meditation at his Center for seven years, and brings a lifetime of Spiritual study and practice to this work. His gift is to bring you into more full awareness of your powerful Spiritual nature, and lead you into a state of Peace. Everyone is invited to these Stillness Meditations. Donations will be accepted to further the work of the expansion of awareness.
Description:
Stillness Meditation is the practice of quieting the Mind and Body to experience the deep power of Spirit. In contrast to our yoga practice, which is a form of moving meditation, we will spend this time together sitting quietly, being gently guided to expand our awareness of our Spiritual nature. It is in this awareness we manifest lives that are whole, happy and free.
Permanent Classes added to the Aspinwall schedule beginning November 28th
Thursday Morning, 11 - 11:30am

Darcy Four workshops Yin Vinyays - Foundations - Inner Fire - Inversions
Yin Vinyasa Saturday December 17, 2011
This soft vinyasa practice consists of 2 hours designed to heal and restore the mind, heart, and energetic body. It begins with extended meditation and ends with extended savasana. In between is an asana practice that flows; however, rather than sequences to build fire and strength, the sequences are designed to soften and balance the body. This workshop is great for students of all levels, and leads participants to feel light, energized and clearly in tune with their highest calling.
Foundations Saturday January 28, 2012
This workshop is a 2 hour practice built around the basics of vinyasa yoga. It is a flowing class that focuses on practicing simple postures with refined alignment, and purposeful breath and meditation. Foundations is a perfect practice for beginning students, as well as experienced students looking to refine their practice.
Inner Fire Saturday February 25, 2012
This 2 hour vinyasa practice is designed for the practitioner who is already comfortable in a standard 75 minute class. The sequences in this practice are designed to build strength and stamina, and to challenge students to trust in their inner power physically and mentally. Throughout this dynamic practice students will also be reminded to stay in contact with the basics: breath and meditation.
Inversions Saturday March 24, 2012
This workshop invites students into the joy of being upside-down! It begins with a brief vinyasa warm-up to establish breath and energetic awareness, then, directly to headstand, forearm balance, and handstand! For each of these inversions participants will learn various techniques to prepare the body, then have a chance to practice at the wall or with assistance. Inversions are a great way to turn your fears into your strengths.
